There seems to be an amazing amount of times the word and idea of PIXELIZATION has come up in my life of late from T.V. and movies to my general thoughts on our culture -- I can't seem to get away from it.

Pixelization is a censorship technique in television broadcasts, used to prevent various "unsuitable" material from being shown on screen. It is usually done by enlarging the T.V. pixels, placing a black band over, or more commonly blurring out the offense. It is monitored by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other self regulatory agencies. It includes the pixelization of license plates, faces of suspects of crimes, pornography, and obscene language which is pixelated to prevent lip reading.
